Eventing NSW is deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Karl Steininger.
The Eventing community expresses sincere condolences to Karl’s Mother - Francene and his Sisters – Kim, Linda and Tanya.
In 2014 Karl was the recipient of the Gow Gates Service to the sport award. For many years he travelled throughout NSW ensuring all the equipment arrived safely at venues.
Riders throughout Australia will miss Karl, he was generous of his time to improve and assist so many clubs and riders and we cherish our happy memories of Karl either working or sitting around a fire in the evening at a competition.
Karl cared about family, work and the community and he will be sorely missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Karl’s family.
